Dave Louthan
Customer Service Instructor

Prior to joining the team at Seagull Institute, Dave Louthan was a health care lawyer. He traded in his business suits for the more casual world of the endurance sports community around fifteen years ago.
Along the way, Dave has worked in a variety of roles and organizations ranging from endurance sports coach to retail, major event planning, and nonprofit work. From 2007 to 2013, Dave worked at Chicago Event Management, Inc. directing the Elite Athlete Program, the Community Program, the International Program, and the Charity Program for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
During his time looking after the Charity Program, the number of Chicago Marathon participants engaged in fundraising increased by nearly 75% with overall fundraising increasing to an event record $15.3 million in 2012. Dave currently looks after Team Imerman Angels, the peer-to-peer fundraising arm of Imerman Angels, an organization that provides personalized connections to enable 1-on-1 support among cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers.
At Seagull, he teaches Community Relations and Customer Service. His classes are fun and interactive with a high level of energy that has proved inspiring to our students.
