What Is CompX™
CompX™ (Company Experience) is a core component of Seagull Institute’s academic programs.
It is designed as an interactive professional experience, not a guided tour or a one-way presentation.
The objective is to expose participants to real business environments through:
  • Direct exchange with professionals
  • Discussion of real operational challenges
  • Exposure to decision-making processes
  • Observation of workplace dynamics
Participants prepare in advance by researching the host company and its professionals. This preparation ensures meaningful and informed interaction.
CompX™ is structured professional immersion.


CompX™ Objectives
CompX™ objectives vary depending on program focus.
For example, within procurement and supply chain programs such as MGACL, CompX™ enables participants to:
  • Understand operational realities
  • Observe how supply chains function in practice
  • Connect academic frameworks with real-world decisions
  • Learn directly from professionals managing day-to-day operations
  • Gain exposure to workflows, systems, and logistics environments
The objective is to bridge theory and operational execution.

CompX™ Format
Each CompX™ session is adapted to the host organization while maintaining a structured format.
A typical session may include:
  • Overview of the company, its strategy, and operational structure
  • Presentation of supply chain, procurement, or business processes
  • Interactive Q&A with professionals
  • Office, operational, or site tour when possible
Duration: Typically 45 to 90 minutes
Group Size: Full cohort or split groups, depending on company preference and capacity
The format remains flexible while ensuring academic value.

Preparation Before CompX™
CompX™ is strengthened by CompRAP™, one of Seagull Institute’s Signature Program Elements.
​Before participating in a CompX™ session, participants complete a structured company research process known as CompRAP™ (Company Research & Analysis Presentations).
Through CompRAP™, participants:
  • Analyze the host company’s industry positioning
  • Study its operational structure
  • Identify strategic challenges
  • Apply relevant academic frameworks
  • Prepare structured insights and questions
This preparation ensures that CompX™ sessions begin at an elevated level.
