Joanne Telser-Frère
Coordinator/International Program Trainer

Joanne Telser-Frère, a Franco-Américaine, continues a career centered on Communication and Training. She has lived and worked in France, Pakistan, Egypt, and Qatar, before returning to live in her hometown of Chicago in 2010.
From teaching English to creating cognitive programs, through journalism and management, her rich career bilingual experiences naturally led her to share her knowledge of different cultures.
Since returning to Chicago, she has worked at CogFit-Quest, where she is in charge of creating and putting into place training for people who wish to stimulate and improve the capacities of their mind in order to limit, or repel dementia related to age.
In parallel to her professional activities and desiring to keep her contacts with France and the French language, she created a bilingual club in 2012 called "Toastmasters International" in Chicago. The "Club Francophone Bilingual Toastmasters" welcomes members of all nationalities who share a common love of the French language and a passion for communication and leadership. Joanne is known in Toastmasters International as a « Distinguished Toastmaster » (The highest award a member can receive). She is also the winner of the competition "meilleur discours humoristique en 2012" for district 30 (Chicagoland).
In her free time, you can find Joanne practicing NIA, a form of dance, or giving courses in Ageless Grace™, a fitness course which works with the body and the spirit. She is just as passionate about reading and is often seen immersed in a book.
Joanne joined the Seagull Institute in 2014 and is thrilled to be part of the team. She hopes to share her knowledge with French students to help them in their professional lives and improving their understanding of the American culture.
